Hi All, This is my first time on forums and posting a message, so please bare with me, I have a 1975 Campervan with a type 4 2.0 litre engine fitted, it is not the original engine. It also has twin carbs fitted, but I am not sure which make these are. The engine has just started popping and loosing power. after I rev the engine, It does it when I release the accelerator. When I looked in the engine bay, I could clearly see a spark from the engine to the left carb, Which is very concerning. Can anybody advise, Thanks in advance.
sounds like a possible dodgy ignition lead, when its dark tonight run the engine again and see if the whole things lighting up with sparks, if it is then plug leads are required
