I carried a 3 rib from the camper into my garage without swearing too much (albeit beautifully wrapped in heavy duty sacks by @paneuropaul) so I reckon you’d be alright,....and definitely fine with two

I’m not sure my bit wobbly 87 yr old dad will be much help :). @Dub and Dubber can put it it in the van and I can roll it out in Sheffield;)

  5. I offered to bring it back from TE, but won't be South of Bradfut, before then.

PS make sure it's drained and crated if it's going to be carried in anything half decent, carwise. EP90 stinks worse than spilt milk and stains too

Does that mean you ARE in Bradford at some point?
If so, and willing, I could try to find a link from Sheffield to there ......
The box will be half-oiled, multi-bagged around emergency-adsorption-material and with "this way up" written all over it!

  7. You need to get it empty, dude. EP90 is horrible stuff, UPS won't touch a 'box with EP90 in it, and I can't say I'd fancy it either, sorry.

On a more positive note I don't have plans for a trip at the mo' but will need to travel down as I need to see the rellies.

That's what we had to do when TLB courier service transported @crossy2112 underwear from Barnsley to Newcastle:eek:

I'll probably drain it as well then.

Gearbox (with bellhousing) dry weight is about 50kg. And it will easily fit in a car boot.

... or one person avoiding bend+twist of course ... I have "advanced lifting skills" and can advise accordingly ... Don't worry, I'd take care of our @Merlin Cat :)

I’m not particularly big, strong or young and I lifted it in and out of a crate and moved it around without doing my back in. Bend zee knees – it’ll be good for @Merlin Cat bum, allegedly.:D

My 6-rib was 50kg dry. A 3-rib will be a bit lighter, but not much lighter, 43kg without the bellhousing is probably about right.

It's all become a bit academic now as a different box, in Edinburgh, is being looked at
    Makes sense for them really.
I'll probably try mine on fleabay.
About to edit the thread title ......
