Being run over by a lorry going too fast for a bend and not using his mirrors on the pavement , errm would that be my fault fa being on the pavement. If I hadn’t had my wits about me that’s where I’d be now under his wheels . Saw the front of the artic coming round out of the corner of my eye n thought s h it he’s nearly on the pavement , with the front, ! where’s the back yep was coming up on the pavement , so I dived in the hedge and shouted n called him a common pub name !! He pulled up ,me thinking he was gona see if I was ok or at least apology , Na when I got up n too his cab ,he was sitting in there looking at his sheets n oblivious , so I gave him a flintstone glare n he looked at me like what’s up with you . So I turned my anger down looked at his number plate and put the wind up him like he had just done to me . Now he might be wondering . Rant over , make the most, you never know what prats coming round the corner
Glad you're OK. Couldn't agree more about what's coming round the corner....why is it these days it's more than 50% likely to be a prat!?
Glad you’re okay Barn. I had this while out walking with Will a couple of years back. Not a lorry, but an equally bad driver in a BMW on his phone mounted the kerb and missed us by a gnats. He never stopped. Sorry to hear it was a fellow ( professional) truck driver that didn’t even have the good grace to apologise. @hailfrank!
My friend Nick was killed this way on his CBR 600, by a foreign lorry driver just outside the entrance to Shepton Mallet Showground. Few years ago now. You just made me remember it...
