Beetle... There seems to have been a rat/mouse/squirrel collecting nuts and storing them in my battery bit of my beetle They have all been nibbled and he even ate bits of the silver windscreen cover that was kept in the back... Not too sure if it was like this before I got it or if its happened recently... Hmmm :-
Hmmmmm. Squirrels definitely bite a chunk our of each nut to prevent germination in storage. Don't know whether mice or rats do the same. At least if it comes back you will have something for the pot. Squirrel curry Mmmmmmm
We have a Navara company vehicle used for demonstrations that sits for weeks between being used. Last week I took it out and 3 miles down the road it started overheating and had chucked its coolant all over the engine bay. Turns out something had been chewing at a small rubber pipe and it had burst once up to temperature. Need to tell the cat off for not doing its job properly.
Hehe at least I'm not the only one with critters living in my dub... I think its pretty funny really...
i work for BMW in the workshop, we have found air filter box full of peanuts right up to the filter, a rat jump out when the bonnet opened ,but the strange smell which turned out to be a rat on the exhaust manifold,,,well done of course...alot of nibbled spark plug leads too. they used to do a rodent deterent device which gave off a high pitched noise.
My heater pipe was full and blocked with nut shels and fluff, chewed paper etc, but the 3 black widow spiders were more of a worry...
