Need some help folks. I have fuel appearing down the side of my solex pict 34. I've cleaned it off and it returns the next day. I don't think the float is stuck and the fuel doesn't appear to be coming from the top gasket. The witness mark starts on the top of the red line. Any suggestions appreciated.
Might be fuel running over the float bowl and down the carb throat. Often appears on the throttle spindle. Yours looks very gummy.
I had something very similar. It was the needle valve sticking and not set at the correct hight letting too much fuel into the float chamber. Cured by fitting a new valve and adjusting the fuel level by adding a washer under the valve.
