Offering for sale my VW Square back project, good base vehicle, does need some welding but not anything major, mostly localised, and not loads of it . Good floors last time I looked, Its been under a tarp over winter, but always seemed pretty water tight.

All good panels, currently looks a tad rough with fake rust patina, its got better over time but pics look crap..

comes with roof rack, old coke type cooler and 7 foot period surf board.

I made a start but sidetracked by helping out other folk It got sidelined ... I made a start to the wee welding jobs , replaced the pass side door hinge at A post, raised the front a little, fitted new shox, calipers , added braided flexi brake pipes and new hard lines .. tracked down a matching pair of firestones for the front,

Wireing was shot so bought a new loom which was Marmite so bought a doner fastback and carefully stripped the loom which was in great condition... not fitted to the square though, just included in the mix...

Also included are a ton of spares, infact pretty much everything that was stripped off the fasty that shared its parts with the square, which includes a belting engine and box, not that the square needs one, but they aint that easy to find and appear to sell for around £500..

Its all there and than some but its not a case of jump in and drive it away its a good project its RHD and its pretty rare these days .. Ive never seen another on the road but funny enough did see two last year at a VW event in Scotland.

Like all this 70s stuff it isnt going down in price the only way is up...

I love the shape to bits, I love the car, if it was a scraper it would have been dragged to the crusher ages ago, believe me Ive fixed some crap in my time and this old fella is better than most..

Sure there will be surprises but they would be surprises to me too if I got right into the car. My plan was to remove the body fully restore and detail the pan and running gear and drop the unrestored body back on... but im always full of bright ideas ... lol..

Simply deposit £2500 GB pounds with me and you can trailer the car away, bring a transit for the spares ...

pictures... youl be needing pictures... most of the ones I have are from when I bought it ... its not changed much, just the description is more accurate ..

where is it .. its in Scotland, but believe it or not, that not actually at the other end of the planet, its a days drive from the other end in the south... If you happen to live in Scotland I would be more than happy to see it stay up here..

sorry never saw your reply until today, there are a couple of minor areas but nothing particularly onerous, definitely not as rusty as a VW camper.... I just cant get near it for other stuff...

floors, sills and heater channels are all good, small area at front of sill at A post nothing serious shapes all there just pinholes, couple of small bits on inner wing but again nothing to bad. I started the repair there but just never got time to complete it .. had other more pressing stuff to attend to.
Its fair to say though that this is not a rot box ( unlike the one that sold for £1750 on ebay this week)

    cheers for now.

revised price.. will sell without the spares will come with donor loom from same year RHD fastback . This car is not a rust bucket, generally solid condition needing a couple of hours of easy welding. I just have to many things on the go and just about to get busier decorating.. :( before I retire :) this is a great car for the money

loads of pics, but couldn't do a swap, im trying to make space and time and have a wee but of a tidy out to concentrate on other stuff. didn't really want to sell it if I'm honest, but had to get tough with myself and make the decision to move it on or become one of then old guys thats gonna restore everything some day, meanwhile it rusts into oblivion depriving anyone else of the opportunity...
