I am sadly selling Bertha, a 1979 Super Viking camper van. Super Vikings are quite rare and sought after models as they have a fantastic lay out, with a massive expanding roof with 4 large beds and a double bed inside the van, so can sleep 6 adults in comfort. She has a gas cooker and fridge, a sink with electric pump for running water, mains hook up and leisure battery, interior lights, extractor fan, seating for 5 people in rear (2 seatbelts), masses of storage space, 6 beds, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. Bertha has been used as a rental van since March 2014 and has done approximately 7000 miles since then. She has been regularly serviced and is a great runner. She had to be kept in tip top condition to ensure she can be used daily! I am selling as the business did not fit in with my lifestyle. She had a new 1600 engine in 2006 so mileage cannot be verified. She has an MOT and tax until March 2015. Bad points: there is some bubbling on two arches. The last MOT in March only had 3 advisories: off side front outer sill hole, not within prescribed area. Oil leak (fixed), and rear underside vehicle has corrosion lift. She has belly pans so the underside is generally in very good condition. She might need a new steering box at some point, although this wasn't mentioned in the MOT, as there is some play in the steering but nothing too bad or unusual. This year she has had the following mechanical work done: starter motor distributor fuel lines replaced with non corrodable ones Fuel filler neck replaced welding on pop up hinges roof seal Aircooled works engine bay fire suppression system gear linkage heater channels fuel gauge inlet manifold And the following new gas fridge (cost £400) leisure battery consumer unit Split charger gas and electricity habitation safety check fully re-upholstered curtains cab carpet Tiled floor stereo with aux and USB inputs. She is a great van which would be prefect for family holidays or to go to another rental company. She must be viewed so you can assess the body work yourself. She is also for sale on Ebay.
