After serious thought we have decided its time for pastures new for our 1978 westy bus.
she under went a major restoration 5 years ago. This started as a tidy up project but as usual I got carried away and finished up creating a 4 x show winning bus.
Getting ultimate best in show at bus types
Top ten air cooled at vw festival
Top 5 air cooled at all types vw
And best interior at skegvegas.

Our van also featured in the video promotion for 2013 vw festival, and is still available to see on the website.
It has a 2ltr Laurie Pettit rebuilt engine and is fed by DRLA twin 40 dellorto carbs.
Lowered slightly just to improve handling.
Porsche alloys.

Newbie question (sorry) any more info on the engine - twin carbs gives you more power vs. the injection? How much would this make now vs. stock. Mpg impact?
