We did last weekend. we camped at Coopers Field in Edale. it was proper cold but toasty in the van thanks to a hookup and fan heater. The Nags Head pub was pretty welcoming too. We had a brilliant time including Mother's Day breakfast in the cafe on Sunday. Proper family fun, and we even watched The Love Bug on the iPad which felt about perfect. Check out the icicles on the bak of our poptop!
Nice one! Winter camping well done for using the van! Many are too scared to drive them in winter- should they dissolve on salty roads! ;-)
I went for a few days a couple of weeks ago. No snow, no ice but then we rarely get that here in sunny OZ
I fell asleep in the camper in the garden ,it was time for my mid day snooze and her indoors was cleaning... nearly camping...
Slept out tonight. We set up our camp @Holmenkollen yesterday and i had to try it out. Woke up 6'O clock with ice in my beard, now home for some coffee before work.
Booked for the easter weekend the wait is almost over seems like ages since i last slept in the van (Nov 2012)
Brave people! Our most 'recent' camping was Wilma's 40th at Blackpool just before Halloween! BUT ... we're collecting Hattie out of storage tomorrow, and are going to Volksworld next weekend. It had better be warm ...
only did Dub Freeze was a bit too mild this time but a lovely sunny sunday.. only got bus types on my list next, hopefully a bit warmer by then. typical innit you go camping in freezing weather and your ok, and you go on a cruise in warmer climes and end up with pneumonia,
I can't imagine it being fun without heating but proper or fan heater and camping at this time of year is really nice. We also got a poptop insulator from Proud to Pop and one of those nice external cab window covers from Bromsgrove Auto trimmers which made a pretty big difference too. My daughter had to take her jumper off after a bit as she was getting too warm in the bus!
Camped in a tent at the spring dub show a few weeks ago Spring camp at dents coming up soon and im looking forward to it even if we are in a tent again
don't fear! there will be a fan heater in the party tent and non of us smoke so that's health and safety satisfied! we've got down duvets, a heater and thermo mats on the windows but Easter weekend at Camperfest at Chester there will be no heater
Yeah went spring dub ,then before that Northwich ,going on a 2week tour next Friday starting a Keswick and ending up at spring camp. was pretty cold at Northwich ,only took 1 photo
You're all mentalists. I want at least two news presenters to use the word "heatwave" before I set up camp.
