The forecast was made by the guy who did this years summer prediction and got it right while the Met Office got it wrong. He also predicted the last two cold winters. It's down to a near total slow down of the gulf stream and La Nina screwing up our warm water current. Supposed to be a record breaking cold and snowy winter this year.
if it snows in UK - its probably the only chance i have to do some skiing this year ... so bring it on
Woo Hoo!!! But, of course, it will be wrong!! Although last year on 18 December, we had about 9 inches of snow (as measured with a ruler) fall in the space of about 3 hours ... I will remember that for ages as it was Freya's birthday party and we have six girls in the house making cakes ... they were dropped off by car and collected of foot ... had to help all of them get changed for going home!
