snail syncrometer reading for 34 ICTs

  1. I always ended up about 4.5 on my meter.

I would have assumed if you are connecting up the linkage rods you would not need to set the idle speed again.

I used to mainly use my snails to make sure the linkage rods were set evenly so that as I opened up the throttle the carbs had the same reading both sides.

  2. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

Put it back. Tickover not effected. Balance linkage by eye so start opening together.
It's a comparative thing, no numbers.

  3. ^this. The absolute numbers don't mean anything. It's the relative numbers - ie both read the same - that's important.

  4. Cheers all. Its a CSP bell crank linkage. The RH rod came off the carb and the lock nuts were loose. (my fault). So the length of the rod has changed. Will just spin it back to fit into the locator.
