can anyone help i have two wires on tap and thought it was live and earth but just blows fuse each tim i put in thanks in advance for any help
Yup, imagine the tap is basically a switch just like a light switch. Live from fuse box to tap, tap to live terminal of the pump and then the other terminal of the pump to earth.
I've just fitted one yesterday. The two wires from the tap are flow and return. The way I've connected it is one wire to a positive feed then the other to the positive wire of the pump while the negative wire straight to the negative of my leisure battery. I'm thinking of putting an inline fuse in.
The leisure battery - should be attached to the body, then there is no need to run any back to the battery
This is also true but as yet it is a stand alone battery until I purchase the bits for split charging and the tap and L/B are so close it was easier than drilling and fixing a bolt down point.
I've had mine fitted for a year and never managed to get it to work, might try today....... Again. So, live from the leisure battery ( via the fuse holder)......where does the other wire go?
So then the first pic shows the black wire from the tap and the second shows the tap end. I'm wanting to wire the black into the fuse holder from the leisure battery. Where would the brown wire go ?
