Small upright fridge/coolbox wanted for Devon Eurovette... Sundowner

Discussion in 'Late Bay Parts Classifieds' started by hibiscrub, Oct 21, 2012.

  1. I have a '79 Devon Sundownerwhich doesn't have a cooler box or fridge
I am after fitting a cooler box or fridge under the sink to the side of the 3/4 RnR bed.
Don't really want to chop the bus around as is pretty much original
Size to fit in the cupboard is 13" wide X 16" high X 15" deep AND needs to be front not top opening

Could go for this http://www.my-caravanning.com/en/products/cooling/thermoelectric-coolbox/TC-14FL/1125 as per louigi_cornetto

but really fancy something a little 'older'

Anyone got an Electolux RM122/123 or coolerbox as per the above link please

    Many thanks in advance

  2. Just swapped my original RM122 from my 79 moonraker (original colour on the fridge door) with a RM123 so have one spare but missing shelves and the the knob as I used them for the 123 ,you can pick them up on ebay cheaply ,it works fine on gas but not tested 12v.
the tops quite shabby as well but I guess you wont see that bit.

I've got a fridge in my garage. Not sure what it is though. I'll get details for you once I drag my bum out if bed.

  4. Yeah it wont fit into there ,sorry didnt look at the pictures ::)

  5. With the RM122 being the smallest fridge made Birdys wont either whatever he's got.
You can stay in bed mate :)
Barnyrubbles looks just a cool box.

Now you tell me. I got up, got the car out of the garage and now back in bed your telling I could have stayed here!!!!

Having taken a look at the fridge it needs a vent and that would be next to your sliding door. Not really ideal. A cool box might be your best option Mark.

  7. Such a shame as its exactly the same colour as you cabinets ,mine fits under the sink which is exactly the same as yours down to the button for the pump, you would just have to take out the piece of wood at the bottom so you could light it ,but as Birdy said you need a flu as its gas so theres no point really.
What I use to do was just put an electric cool box in the passenger footwell, they were fine ,a bit noisy but I would switch it off at night and all the food and beer was still well chilled in the morning.

  10. Google penguin leisure , there frgio fridges are exellent quality
Dont go thermo electric thay realy are crap and will not work in a warm van in the summer

  11. Hot sweats.... probably your age

  12. That one has jogged the old memory......which has made me dig around the deepest darkest depths of the garage.

Its too late now but I do have two 3-way fridges(gas, 12v, 240v). One came out of my bay, god knows where the other one came from? The one that came out of mine was in good working order.

I will have a measure up for you tomorrow.

Im also sure that I have somewhere a zig unit suitable for a fridge(not all are suitable)...thats probably boxed in uncharted territory in the garage too

  13. Wouldnt mind the zig if the fridge dosent fit?
