  1. Just been quoted £600 for my sliding door to be repaired ie
Cut out rust bottom half new skin and respray i no its a lot of work involved,i can get the door resprayed myself but would need the welding done elsewhere
Should i go for a new door or get the work done

Assuming it’s a left side door, for a right hand drive bus - you can’t get new doors, £600 is a fair price to be fair for repair and paint.

As above, no doors available new and second hand Good ones are getting hard to find and are over £600 when you do, I think it’s a very fair/ cheap price

Agree about it being a cheap price, think the last one I did I charged 450 mates rates, with them supplying the panels. - I couldn’t make a living doing it at that money.

I know some people don’t repair their vehicles, but you could buy yourself a half decent mig welder for half that, get on the forums or you-tube for some advice & have a go at repairing it yourself. Of all the repairs your bus will need, the sliding door is one of the most straight-forward in my opinion. The panels required are cheap & readily available. You never know-you might discover skills you didn’t know you had & save yourself a fortune at the same time.
