Is this the type of window that leaks a lot and when you fit them with new seals they stop it opening properly?
yes , the new seals are blooming hard work , need a long time to settle etc, that’s rustier than it first looks
I thought they didn't put opening windows on the slider, as they could get bashed off if left opened.
I wasn't sure myself so I checked and it looks like they did. I had a very difficult time with the right rear quarter light. It had a rusty frame that I treated but never lasted, so I replaced the whole thing with a rear side window instead. Not quite purist but watertight hopefully and less faffing about.
