Sliding door outer handle

Hi all think iam a stupid moment!

Stripping sliding door ready for paint prep and i cant work out how to take the outside handle off?

Ive undone the screw on the inside of the sliding door that i thought would secure it but still no joy! Grrrrrr

Any sugestions?

 

I do not know if there is a difference between our 70 & your 75? but ours slides out just like you described---maybe it's stinking?
You may have to clean & lube it up & tap it out with a soft/rubber mallet??

 

Kinda wot i thought didnt want to damage anything gonna go n give it a gentle tap or 2

 

Nope wont budge! :-(

 

I'm pretty sure there is only the one screw on my 75 - mine lost it's screw and the handle tried to remove itself while i was driving along ???
