Sliding door handle measurement

  1. Quick and easy one.. Can someone measure the distance between their sliding door inner handle and the door card?

Im trying to figure out the maximum thickness i can have on thedoor card whilst still being able to use the handle..

Also same sort of issue with cab doors, the card i made is about 12mm thick, does anyone know the max width? :s

    Cheers in advance

  2. 12 mm sounds thick , cab door originals I have just removed to make some more are only around 3-5 mm with vinyl, what are they made of? Will they not add unnecessary weight being so thick ?

  3. 16 mm is the space between the card and end of handle with a stock panel.

  4. Nice so my fat panels should be fine. Cheers andy.

The cab doors will be made thinner prob 4mm -6mm foam.
The weight wont be an issue i wouldnt have thought. Ill just remove the towbar and save 20kgs lol

  5. Was out last night and thought about this one - check the clearance between door and wheel arch when the door is open, mine is almost touching and that`s with a normal door card - a thicker one, even by a couple of mill would foul the rear arch ....
