Easiest: you will need to buy a replacement set of locks complete with cable.

Harder: engineering creativity. . depends on where the cable has broken. If its in the middle, you can cut back the outer to expose the broken section, put a metal spacer bar between the ends of the outer and splice in a section of steel wire using a couple of rigging wire clamps.

If its broken at one end, weld a rod to the moving part it is attached to and clamp the wire to it, with a spacer for the outer.

Look at bike cables and consider modifying them.

Personally its a challenge I know I would beat..

  3. cheers buddy, it snapped right as it goes in the lug so no chance of a connector, if i can't source a new one it looks like making a long enough cable fit. cheers

  4. Bicycle shoppe , buy a suitable cable and make your own ?
I've never had to do it but shouldn't be too challenging...
