    Do you think this is just tyres or has it been raised?
    In what way would the bigger tyres affect the gearing?

    It's been raised about 2-3" + the bigger tyres.
    Harder work for the engine.

  10. If your motor had the guts then theoretically higher top end. On a bog standard 1600 youd be lucky to get it to pull hard enough to get into top i would wager.
     
  11. Ah I have a 1600 which chugs along happily between 60 and 70, sort of defeats the object higher van that won't climb hills.

    You change one thing and it alters somthing else so you have to do somthing about that
    Then that alters somthing else....................................................

    Yes, 14". I was thinking maybe 15" wheels for spare with whatever the standard size is for them and see if they fit in the front arches. No need to go much bigger I think?
