Whats the deal with the steering column? it has an extra bit at the bottom...is it a different box? or has it been raised?
It's all been said, awesome bus and a lot of inspiration to be drawn, I like the matching glove box and dial housing, where's my spray can ??
truly inspiring!! the front bench, the fold/hide a way kubbies, the carpet choice, the wood, the logic and quirkiness! its all just amazin! thats got to be on air too? way too low to be useable surely? top marks though, does all that wood make it really really heavy? 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
I remember looking at these pics when I first joined the forum, a year later it is still gorgeous.... Love it
The bit around the bottom of the steering tube is because the steering box has been raised like that do on splits when they go really low Rob
I saw the VW evolution one a few years ago and it made me want to go out and get a twin slider. Don't listen to em, it looks great that low!
Hey buddy, can you remember off the top of your head what tyre sizes you have gone for with those? and are they stock 14 steel wheels? thanks B O0 O0
Dude, your van is awesome! amazingly well thought out and so well executed, top work all round yeah.. respect!
Sorry everyone for not answering any questions, i have have been very busy since i last put something on the late bay, and then the webiste was updated and i had no password only just got it sorted. Anyway i will upload some new photos of the bay as these photos are from 2011 and since then it has had an engine raise, beetle gt gearbox, and lowered slightly. This Bus isnt on Air Ride and this is how it rolls. Any Questions on anything you would like to know i will try my best to help, And the answer to the most common question is - the front tyres are 165/55/14 . The Beam is Narrowed 5" on king and link drop spindles.
For me that's easily the best late bay in the country...but I do like them low. Can't wait for the new pics now it's 'lowered slightly'!
