Sky package, your thoughts

I am thinking of swopping my internet and phone to sky as i am a customer, has anybody else got this package and your thoughts,

£33.00 month for children, family, movies package, then i pay Talktalk about £37 for Phone and internet.

Thinking mybe swopping to Sky altogther would cut down prices and i would save a bit?

 

I have SKY+, SKY Talk and Sky Unlimited BB - I am pretty happy with the service they give.

I have saved a LOAD of money since ditching BT

 

Its deff something i am going to look into, wouldnt have thought of it, if it wasnt for my mum saying that when she added up her Sky and then talktalk she saw the big diffrence in prices and told me about it,

i took out the unlimited BB package but then downgraded as i didnt think i was using it enough. sods law was about 3 weeks later when i discovered xbox live so the usage went right up. they just sent me an email saying i was getting near my limit and if i went over they would move me back to the unlimited BB package. of course, i went way over. they never charged me any extra or did anything to annoy me they just sent another email saying i would be back on the unlimited.
the router seems to be ok and i dont lose BB signal at all. after 18 months no complaints from me

 

you still have to pay b.t your line rental with sky though...don't forget to factor that in. i ditche bt and sky years ago for virgin.

 

I think you can pay Sky for that as well Ricky.
We have the Sky + HD package, internet and phone and works out very well indeed. The internet has no problems and paying good price as we are on a lower package as we don't play online or stream too much.

 

I've had sky BB for several years now. Have had no problems but over the last year the BB keeps cutting out when the phone rings, open reach came out to look at it but still not fully relable other than that I've been happy with them any problems they do try and sort it out and are happy on the phone, more than I can say for their tv side of things.
I went over from orange and saved quite a bit.
I'm on the sky full package with the 3D channel which is pants. And BB unlimited.

 

ok so i'll re-phrase my reply....."don't forget, you still need a b.t line with sky, even if they pay it to b.t for you".....with virgin i had my b.t line removed totally, i have cable everything with virgin.

i am looking into either sky or virgin at the mo as our bb contract with BT is up and they are charging us £33 for just phone rental & bb(way too much).
we currently only have freeview but its doing our head in reception wise so would like very basic tv package included too,what do people pay on here for phone,bb and tv either sky or virgin?

we have virgin cable in our street.

would like to get tv,bb and phone for about the same or less than what we are paying currently

 

you got a tivo box ricky? i player on tv etc?

 

We're with Virgin, we don't watch much TV, tend to use the internet a fair bit (but just for browsing the web and watching iplayer, none of this x-station play-box live wotsit, that's for younguns ), and have inclusive minutes on our mobile phones so aren't massive phone users either. Broadband M, TV M, Talk Weekends and Caller Display (so I can ignore all the telesales calls that somehow get through despite our registration with TPS) amounts to £30.45 a month.

I've never had any problems with the service, and have been with them since they were Telewest.
