Beakey may have nailed it, my pal (mechanic) has a Snap- On tool? which is a fork at one end and a ring spanner at other.

 

Sorry but my three clawed thing is not touching any gherkins (if I had one)

 

But if you reach up to tighten your starter terminal with your right hand you then punch yourself in the face with a spanner in your left hand. Ask me how i know.
