Very tidy. :) Is that an expansion vessel to stop water hammer on the cold inlet? Also is that a scale reducer going into the boiler on the cold?

  6. The expansion vessel is to protect the boiler if someone adds a non return valve to the incoming main at some point, like if a water meter is fitted in the street or a water softener. If that happens then the dhw can’t expand back up the main when heated so it protects the hydraulic block in the boiler. Yes the calmag scale reducer is fitted on the incoming cold to the combi.

For me, all that is part of the charm.

That place is in Much wenlock on the A458. I have only vague memories of it being open in the late 70’s early 80’s. I’m really glad they haven’t knocked it down and left it as it was. I love old garages, I started my working life as an apprentice working in something like that.

  11. Power supply of some sort?

It's not looking happy around R26, looks like the magic smoke may have come out.

What a lovely morning on the New Forest.
Perfectly still, just birds chirping and bees buzzing.
    Happy Friday :)

If there's a view you may make more money hiring them out, similar to deck chairs.

There used to be a great old garage at Halwill Junction in Devon with all the old enamel sign's and the like ...just like the old triang railway accessory buildings
I have also noticed ....there is a mirror at the rear of those block tiers .
Quite what it was advertising would be interesting to know .
