  13. Ground source heat pump,running a big oak framed house
    Heat pump on the left,buffer vessel next on the right,divicons unmixed the 1st one that’s for a pool,then 2 mixed circuits for UFH
    In between the divicons there’s a plate heat exchanger then a 750ltr cylinder

    The source of the heat in a ground source heat pump is the ground.:thumbsup:

  16. Yes, Mr Clever Clogs ;). But...what's in the ground doing the heating? Has @Richard W12 drilled through the earth's crust?

  17. Ground loops in the ground about a metre deep full of glyco (a form of antifreeze) we take about 6deg send it back about 1 deg

  18. Wouldn't have though you could recover that much heat. Surprising.
     
  19. Open loop bore holes are the most efficient,you strip At about 11degr send it back about 7degr allegedly 300% efficient
