I've seen a few of these in the Alps and always wondered if I'd have it in me to carry on snowsports or cycling if I'd lost or lost use of my legs.... fair play to them!!

 

We've got a good mate who's a para, broke his back in a motorcycle accident at 17. He took up skiing at 20 in a sit ski & honestly can blow most able bodied skiers into the weeds. I was helping him from his ski into his chair when a woman stopped & asked " Aren't you scared you'll hurt yourself? " he replied " What's the worst that can happen? I ski into a tree & can walk again? " I cracked up & the woman scuttled away very red faced. He's got a great sense of humour & happily takes the pee out of himself & his " disability ".

 

Early starts mean early finishes ( allegedly ) time for a free ski out of uniform, the we'll think about heading home ( via the pub in Jindabyne, I love not being the designated driver )

Fitted another light to the other end of my garage as it wasn't easy to see with the doors closed.
