Never had any issue with the empi. The CSP was good with a nice T handle and trigger for reverse. The bug-tech takes it to another level with lightening fast gear shifts
Whilst I can see the perceived advantages of fitting a faster, shorter shifter. I have never done so because I think it would change the inherent quality of the gear-change which to me is something leisurely, to be enjoyed at it's own pace. Like the bay itself. That's why I never got round to bolting in that old 3.2 litre 6 pot that's cluttering up the shed.
hope the rest of your bus is going to be as tidy as the bits in the pic Snotty....looks like you could eat your dinner off it....as opposed to a matching Tiaga green melamine plate
Unfortunately, that was the peak of shininess several years ago. I've spend recent weeks trying to stave off corrosion...
Unfortunately i don't think its possible to discuss shifters with deliberate or accidental knob gags. Its an option you can specify when you order. i preferred a polished knob.. (oops, see what i mean!). Feels great in your hand (d'oh!) http://www.geneberg.com/cat.php?cPath=17_476 I chose the "add-ball" and paid an extra $10 to have it polished.
when i installed the bug-tech I found that the shaft was in a different position to the CSP so kept finding i was grabbing my knob short.
Bum. Don't think they did them when I ordered mine. The T-handle's fine, but a polished knob is even better!
