setting the Co2 on twin weber 34 ICTs

Hi all.

just had my bay MOT'd. passed but the emissions test was at 4.5% Co2.
1. should a 1972 bay be subject to emnissions?

its a 1641 with twin weber (genuine) icts
also how do i get this figure down. Am I correct it should be about 3%

I don't think a 1972 is subject to the emissions test, have a look at this:

http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_730.htm this suggests to me that it's only vehicles used on or after 1st august 1975.

 

NO EMMISION TEST done on my 72 bay

 

None on my 73
