Servo conversion

  1. I'm looking into doing a brake servo conversion on my '75 bay as it is currently non-servo assisted and I feel I will need the extra help with it having the Subaru conversion.

My question is, I know I need to weld a bracket onto the front beam for the servo, but is it worth it or should I buy a new beam and sell mine on? My beam is rot free, just doesn't have the servo mount

Weld one on, you don't even need to remove the beam to do it.

  3. The beam is already off as the bus is still in many pieces lol

I have found dimensions for the holes for the different servo mounting points but what about the position it sits on the beam? Also can you buy the longer rod between the pedal and servo

  4. All you need is a datum line to measure too and your away. Also the rod is available quite widely

    Heritage sell the servo rod.
You'll have to work out yourself where it goes, it's tight and probably best done on the bus to get it in the right place. If it's RHD it'll need to be angled towards the brake pedal.
