hi I have late bay in restoration and I need some help with the seat runners for the drivers side. I have replaced the wheel tub and managed to salvage the offside runner which was welded to the tub. the nearside runner has not been removed. I will post some pictures but the inner seat runner does not seem to be welded in place correctly and I am having a nightmare trying to refit the seat. can someone tell me if the runners were welded in offset IMG_20210716_155856898.jpg IMG_20210716_155905123.jpg IMG_20210716_155908357.jpg IMG_20210716_155953886.jpg

Both front seats point ever so slightly inward. Assuming you welded the outer runner to the tub?
Best thing to do is to use the inner as the starting point as that's not moved. Fit the seat and then fit the outer and get it where it needs to be. Tack in place and check you've got full adjustment on the seat then weld in all in.

thanks ray, that would explain everything. just seems odd the inner runner no being parallel to the mounting. will tack it now and try

If you ever noticed the driving position in a bay is twisted to line up with the controls better. I know someone who actually sold theirs because the cock-eyed driving position gave them a bad back.
