Hi All Off to France in a few weeks and need to take my longboard with me, this is our first main holiday in the bay so looking for recommendations for roof bars. Don't really want the type that you bolt to the roof am happy to have to take them off before putting the roof up.Have read that people have used normal van type ones that clamp to the gutters but not sure what makes/models people have used. All advice gratefully received Thanks Martin
A mate had a Williams longboard and strapped it to the underside of the roof bunks when travelling and under the van when camped up. Came right through into the cab space, so might be a bit cramped for you on a long trip.
I used to have a van rack that sat either end of my Devon roof to carry mine. It was just a tall ladder bar type I bought at motoworld years ago
These are on ebay - they're 55 inches wide with an 11 inch drop which might be just enough for a bay roof profile? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roof-bar...216182?hash=item3f8601fa36:g:YZUAAOSwPv9XL8tL Don't think you'll get any cheaper than that, if they fit.
