This is mine and clearly I'm missing something as it won't stay up or lock down ? If you've got it can I have it please?
should there be some hinge controlled brackets which are controlled by a turning of a wing nut or little handle, we have two in ours but both are different to yours I have the top of a large skylight but that's about it, nothing else
Yep, but I don't know what it's supposed to look like. On speaking with a pop top canvas guy the other day, he reckons I've got a Holdsworth roof?! I dunno?!
if you measure up the aperture you may be able to fit one of these....it's called a Mini Heiki...fitted one in my Devon pop top and it is fantastic...double glazed, comes with a mosi screen and blackout roller blind...dead easy to fit/use....money well spent IMO
Lardy you have the opening facing the rear (as shown in pic), but suppose you could have it facing the front.
Shop around....it's the best £80 you'll spend...unless you like cheap whores at the end of the day, you could always use a piece of wood to wedge your rooflight open, or fit a telescopic cupboard stay or whatever...would be much cheaper .... my reasoning for buying this over a less expensive one was that I needed a vent that lets as much light in as poss, without being huge, doesn't leak, can be left open at night without letting mozzies in and I could stand up, put my head through it and play tank commanders (when the mood takes me) This satisfied all the above criteria... simplicity to open/close plus you can fit an extractor fan in should you wish....Have I sold you yet? Was it the Tank Commander potential?
Just measured the square hole for the roof light and its 370mm?! All the ones I can find are 400mm?? Anyone any ideas what type my roof is?
Lardy, I've got the vent i took out of my own van in the garage. Pretty sure it is for a 40cm aperture. Let me know if you need pics.
