Essential bit of kit. Why only yesterday I narrowly avoided running down a kangaroo in the outback on Cambridge high street.

  5. I was wondering how long it would take you to pop up in this thread

I can tell you that if you hit a roo, even with one of these fitted, you won't be going very far.

  9. Whilst driving up the middle en route to Darwin many moons ago I hit a BIG grey. Thought I would miss it until it decided to change direction and bounce towards me. Luckily I only caught its tail and it merrily continued on bouncing. Damage....smashed headlight and soiled gunties!

  10. Hi there, sorry for the delay. unfortunately my pal is not driving down the A1.
    Sorry I couldn't help.

  11. No problem
I'll have to pass on them in that case as the courier cost will put the total cost above what I can afford

  12. I have the same type on my van last tuseday I had a tourist stop dead in the road after he missed a turning ,I stopped behind him then seen the reverse lights come on ,I knew exactly what was gonna happen ,I was stuck with cars behind me ,and just waited for the bang ,I got a fair stunt and honestly expect ed the front of the van to be a mess ,to my surprise came away with just a marked bumper and roobars ,the Vw estate hire car did not come of so lucky ,boot, bumper ,tail light ,all done in ,so maybe no Roos here but that bar saved the front of my bay ,and after a recent trip to the beach very handy for hanging the wet stuff on to dry

I'd be mortified if you took the hump and left. I'd hate to think that anybody took my mild difference of opinion seriously.
And to be fair it's probably not your fault your Scottish. :)

  16. Thought we were all British ,well that's what that nonce David Cameron says anyway ,one big happy family ;-)

I'm quite surprised the words 'David Cameron' slipped through the TLB swear filter. If I could convince my wife that our grown up children could survive without her I'd move back to Scotland tomorrow.
I lived there for 8 years and absolutely loved it.

  18. Why not rename roo bars in the UK badger bars?Rode my elderly BMW from Cairns to Darwin a few years ago. Some terrifying encounters with wedge tail eagles eating road kill. Was a fantastic trip.Hadn't ridden the bike for nearly ten years when I decided to go...changed all the oils and did one short test ride.Hubbie said he'd be shocked if I made it to Mt Isa and gobsmacked if I got to Darwin.6000klms no probs!
