In the interest of improved quality of spare parts, here are a couple of pics of poor products which need hounding out. First off is a float valve from an EMPI rebuild kit. The spring and ball had dropped out and were loose in the bowl. This next is one of my heater bellows. The internal passage is lined with a plastic lattice material which has melted. In the original it's a wire mesh, and I'm now in the process of putting on refurbed originals. Can anybody add to this with examples of cr*p parts and/or workmanship?
Fuel filler hose from cool air Cracked after a month of being fitted and it’s had fuel no where near it
You might as well add anything described as " Germany quality" It's code for scene tax crap quality but they will buy it because we always come at the top a any Google search and they either don't know how or can't be bothered to search for the item elsewhere.
Front beam bump stop rubbers from heritage 3 months 500 miles before splitting where they join the steel mounting plate then cracking in the rubber itself
Has anyone mentioned these. In fairness they know they are crud and do tell you they aren't the best and do exchange them without hassle.
Fuel gauge from machine 7 £29 looks like Chinese £5 copy, sent back as did not work - repaired old one, connection had broke but needs must!
Is that a Klokkerkrap step? I stopped off at JK to examine one once. Even the JK bloke waved it around and said "It's complete crap, isn't it?"
Not sure if that is the really crud one they sell, it does actually look better than the one I bought!
