'Silver Lady' 'Don't give up on us, baby' Two songs that will forever be on my favourites playlist. RIP Mr Soul
Saw one of his interviews years ago and he came across really well and certainly lived a full life ! He was quite candid about his experience as a young man at the hands of Andy Warhol and his entourage .RIP.
Interesting to learn he made it big in America again once his light didn't shine so bright after starsky and Hutch , as a unknown person as The covered man, only to fall out of favour again once he revealed he was the covered man singer . Nowt stranger than folk
He was star guest on a YTV show me and a few mates had tickets for the filming - free bar - came and had a beer with us between takes and was fine company , no side whatsoever ... RIP.
He was restoring Ernest Hemingway's Cadillac with Practical Classics magazine a few years ago - it's located in Cuba and the trade embargo between the US and Cuba, and as I recall the fact he's an American national meant it was quicker and easier to get parts sent to the UK, then to the USA. Obviously he was great as Hutch - but I remember him in Magnum Force as having real menace. RIP Hutch.
