Ours was by the side door.

 

There's 2 in mine both been moved now one above slider, one above rear doors

 

Just looked an odd place for vw to put it or whoever did.

 

Got my altro flooring and rough cut it ready to trim and stick down.
Colour is "Poppy" (i'm going with red and white on this van) altro is a non slip industrial flooring, much safer than tiles/lino and quite hardwearing with dogs etc....





also had my back doors wrapped to look like glass and added the vans name which is inspired by the numberplate.



this gives you an idea of the match of wrap to glass.

yep looks great and saves on pointless curtains as i'll never see out of the rear anyway.

I tried one but found it a bit small ... I just wondered if they were more prone to rust, the engine wasn't as good ... other practical stuff like this.

 

Ah, sorry I sounded a bit arsey, no idea my bro has a 56 plate transit he's converting it's a bit rusty but far less scene tax....

 

Looks fantastic. I bet you're like a kid with a new toy. We get old transits traded in at work and it's shocking how rusty they are underneath. I guess they are built to a price and not meant to last.
