Was Australia the only RHD market to get wipers that worked correctly for a steering wheel on the right?
Probably. Our antipodean neighbours had some funny rules. A friend of mine had to have his Citroens converted to this strange wiper way.
It makes it a pain to replace the wipers. Just had to crimp some standard blades into the old holders to get through the MOT. Hope they hold on long enough to source some proper ones. I was told that all original ozzy bus imports had their front panels replaced in order to meet wiper regulations. Is that true?
Quite correct Baydreams. We have our wipers going in the correct fashion, everyone else is wrong. So there!!!
My worry with Salt is the damage its doing to the environment and water tables. We salt the roads in the same way we light vast swathes of the country - because some people are right at the edge of their driving ability, are tested once in a lifetime, and ice pushes them over their ability envelope. Some donut will propose under road heating and if the backhander is big enough, we'll probably do that too.
