Some 12+yrs ago I purchased a RHD panel van sliding door intending to use it when I had the camper resprayed (Viking’s are panel van conversions).

However it turned out the door (despite the seller saying it was mint/un-repaired) was worse than the one fitted to the van at the time. Circumstances meant I could not return the door so I took a hit and it has been sat in the garage ever since getting in the way.

I have decided to sell the door but am unsure if I should replace the lower part of the panel, or sell as is so the buyer can see what they are getting.

Today I have been at it with a flap wheel on the angle grinder (about 6 wheels actually) and all the filler/paint is off. What’s your thoughts ..... and a potential value as I have no idea (trust me, had I known, I wouldn’t have paid what I did for the damn thing)

I think you should have left it, I'd never bare metal with a flap disk.

Paint it quick before it goes rusty.

Yeah, I hate it when someone has done this kind of thing, I'd prefer to remove the paint AND repair myself, when I was ready, to the extent I thought it needed. It's good to see something in the raw by which I mean all the rust spots it may or may not have had.

    Poly abrasive discs
whip pretty much anything off without damaging the metal or getting clogged.
