I have this RHD Bay window crew cab in from South Africa at the mo. I have just gone through & fixed a load of moody bits on it so you don't have to. Brand new seat belts, indicator switch & stuff like that. It now has a years MOT. All taxes are paid & is in the process of being registered now. It's a 1978, so VW sorted all the Marmite stuff they did on an prototype bay. Engine is an 1800cc type 4 motor on a 2.0L type 4 gearbox. It starts first time, runs great & really pulls strong. Servo brakes with new discs & pads will throw you through the front window! It was painted in South Africa & makes a nice change from rat look. Some of the paint isn't perfect, but still looks cool on the road & will polish up some more. Top half is metallic gun metal & the bottom is straight red. The only welding it's had is the edges of the cab floor under the matts. The rest of it is amazingly good for it's age. Load area is very good. The drop sides are very good too & probably worth a couple of grand on their own. Brand new tyres on 14" powder coated concept rims. There is another as a spare (but no tyre). Inside has been retrimmed, so nothing really needs doing there. It wants a couple of door rubbers, but not a lot else. Extra load space under the rear seat, it goes under the load bed.
