Revs take ages to drop after revving the engine

  1. The actual arm seems to return ok, the choke cam is turning and going fully off when warm, the screw that hits the cam is adjusted properly.

    Any Ideas?

    Its a Solex 34 pict 3

    Thanks

  2. Has the tube that the accelerator cable runs through come adrift?

  3. Sticky throttle spindle ?, put a drop of oil on everything which moves externally on the carb. What about the pedal, this can get stuck in the carpet! Try pulling the pedal upwards to confirm this.

  4. No mate. The actual mechanism of the throttle is all ok. Its as if something inside the carb is prolonging the revs

  5. Carb cleaner cleans and lubes at the same time doesn't it? stick some of that down it :)
