@Baysearcher On back of gauge there are two white spades. The plastic is broken on one and when wiggled made needle jump about.
I have done a small fix with some glue so it dosnt move anymore but still dosnt read perfect.

Can you just solder a new spade connector on?

Maybe? Could still be sender. Could do with someone taking a proper look.

  4. Here's nobby's dash.....that's a stack rev counter. It was in there when I bought him, but it's very good.....a bit pricey though! I can drive to that though.....I never take it more than 3500 revs, which is 60ish.

Would any old rev counder work? As long as it went up to 6000 or 8000 rpm on dial?

I won this one on ebay (Located Arizona so will be few weeks). Hope it will fit in the spare space in the dash. bit of a gamble.
What I liked is they where correct era.

The fittings on back of dash are at 12 and 6 o'clock and these look like they are at 5 and 10 o'clock.

    Well either it will...
    1. swing round and mount perfect.
    2. Make some construction clip or something (Maybe 2x bars of Meccano to stretch round?)
    3. Just have it mounted on skew :)
    4. Get someone to weld 2 more clips in correct location
    5. Just not fit at all (Put in Pod)

    Sellers Description...
This is a beautiful example of an early to mid 70s VDO Cockpit Tachometer.
If I am reading correctly it is for a four cylinder vehicle; Porsche, Audi, Volkswagon, BMW, Mercedes, etc.
    It is in great shape.
It is in the original box with the original Instructions.
It will be shipped with tracking. Shipping is to the lower 48 states.
