Just a few photos of my camper...Wish I'd taken more up until now...I've spent about 6 months getting it ready for paint and now in Tiaga green. I'm trying to get it as close to original as possible...have started screwing it back together now and I'm guessing that with work and two young kids most of my time will be burning midnight oil! Any advice greatly appreciated! Home safe n' sound.... Regards, Pete
If your sourcing trim, NLA VW are really good and delivery is prompt too. Im using their bits and bats on Major's rebuild: http://www.thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/major-the-westies-rebuild-project.65874/
Burning midnight oil!...Was almost dark by the time mates were available to help put the roof back on...Going to screw down canvas today...fingers crossed..Any advice? . ..Have already used tack strip to position it same as the old one / original one..new canvas from NLAVW...
Is the canvas attached to the pop top yet? I found the staples went through much easier if I warmed the plastic strip up first (bowl of warm water). I attached the canvas to the pop top before I bolted it to the bus, not sure if that was the right was to do it or not.
Thanks mate...new strip wasn't that tough tbh and bought a good stapler...yeah..canvas already on! Too windy today now so doing more work on ply ceiling panels...
