Resto buffs help needed

  1. Alright gang, I'm having some panels welded on my van at the mo and next job is rear wheels arches I've bought one so far from one of the usual suspects( unfortunately its a Dutch Klippityklop one so not the best quality). Anyway what I need to know, is it best to fit the whole wheel arch panel height wise or trim it down like the Jedi diddlymen did on his resto?

I hope that makes some kind of sense ;)

Cut the panel as low down as the rot allows for but keep the shaped part( the arch but itself) complete

  4. Of what?

  5. Of your resto when you do it ;) - I have to replace all the duffly welded panels on mine at some stage, the cowboy that did it must have been blind stupid and well busy fighting Injns rather than welding bodywork!

  6. Haha a resto thread is planned Stan but I'm going to wait a bit until I have lots of pictures to slap on here. :D
