Bit of advice please- Is it better to plug weld the door skins by punching holes on the lip of the frame or the door skin? Thanks Nige
Door skin. You’ll struggle to get your welding torch into the seal channel if you do it the other way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This. /\ It's a fine balance between enough heat to penetrate, and not distorting the skin though. I usually set the welder up and do a few tests on scrap before doing door skin.
Bare in mind you have to grind the spot welds flat again, hence the above suggestions of doing it from the outer skin side.
