Removing Devon Moonraker interior, how do I disconnect the fridge, sink and cooker?

  1. Hi all,

I have spent the best part of today removing the interior of my 1979 Devon Moonraker, which has been mostly successful. I only have the fridge, sink and cooker unit left inside the van as the fridge and cooker are attached to the gas hose and the sink has electrics attached. How and where do I go about disconnecting each of these? All of the water and waste pipes are sorted, all I have left is the gas that comes in at the front under the cooker knobs, the gas going in at the back of the fridge at the bottom, and electrics that operate the push button for the sink. Am now wishing I had taken a photo of this to show it better, hindsight is a brilliant thing!

If anyone has managed to work out what I'm describing and has any words of wisdom they would be much appreciated. I just want to know where to go about unscrewing the gas (where it meets the cooker/fridge, or where the two lines meet the connecting hose...?) and where to disconnect the sink button from the electrics.

If I get that done tomorrow then the cargo floor will be revealed for the first time in almost 40 years, discovered the original funky flooring when i peeled back the lino today, will take that up and cross fingers for minimal rust!

    Thanks,
    Stratts

  2. Success, turned the fridge on one side to disconnect gas line that runs between cooker and fridge (won't be using fridge again so not worried about it being on its side) and then the electrics were just a pull to disconnect that I'd been to wimpy to try doing yesterday! Van is now completely cleared of its original moonraker interior and the ply floor and funky devon lino is out too. Much to my surprise the cargo floor was looking beautiful! Few little spots of surface rust but nothing a bit of wire brushing won't solve!
