the headlamps on my bus have apparently packed up, no main or high beam but got side lamps , as a new switch was fitted last year i am ruling that out as being faulty at the mo.so does the fact i got side lamps and indicators are working fine rule out a faulty relay? as i do not want to buy one on the off chance it may be a dud,and fuses look ok , any advice appreciated ,ta.
check all the wires it doesn't sound like the relay as you normally you lose dip or main not both. Then its a case of checking for voltage along the circuit
ta much 4 that advice mate , did as you suggested , cleaned contacts and whilst checking fuses ,whilst one appeared fine the reading on multi-meter was not as high as it should have been so i replaced and it was pure "let there be light "!!!>phew!!!
