Rear view mirror removal

Hi there,

I want to replace the windscreen seal but it seems removing the mirror would be a good idea.

Question is - how do you get it out??? I dont want to force anything and end up breaking it.

Any guidance on this please.

 

no idea, but no need to remove the mirror anyway....mine's been out 3 times and never had to take the mirror out.

 

Twist and it pops out.

 

Yep, grab the "stalk" and twist it sideways.

As a matter of interest tho' - which way would I need to twist it? clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Right - I'll be brave and give it a good twist.

 

If that doesn't work, try holding the mirror still, and get someone else to twist the bus...
