Mot failure on our van 73 baycouple of easy items and there is a hole in the outrigger, sorry if I sound proper 'fick' but are they spot welded on originally or incorporated into the chassis another way ,is it a matter of chopping out and spot welding a replacement? Not had a chance to get under the van yet. Thanks in advance , Jim
i am affraid you will have to have a look ,originally spot welded on h section and welded onto chassis ,but it might not be original...
True enough. Your problem will hopefully be limited to the outrigger, but sadly often the rot stretches to the H beam or the sill too. Keep your fingers crossed.
So I changed the rear outrigger like said , glad to inform all that we are back on the road. Mot yeahhhh .thank you for advice given .
