Forgive me if this is somewhere else but I've tried searching here and on le'google but to no avail. I wantto remove the rear light units on my camper so I can cut the corner off but can't see a simple way. The rear lights seem to be bolted on with the bolts too long for a socket to fit on and a pair of pliers being awkward to get at the nut, am I missing something? Cheers
You really need deep sockets and give them a spray in wd40 because if the captive bolt spins inside the plastic you will have to butcher them!
There are 4 nuts (from inside the engine bay), mine were ok by using a small socket, the threads don't go all the way up the screw so only a couple of turns. The two outer ones are reached by feel (or by the use of a mirror).
Cheers everyone, spent ages trying to find a solution when I should have asked you wonderful lot first, thanks again
I had to butcher mine as one of the nuts just kept spinning. Hacked it from the "lense" side outside the van and drilled it out!
