Rear Light Seals

  1. Hello All, my bus was rear ended a little while ago and I'm just getting round to repairing/replacing the damaged parts and noticed on the Custom & Commercial site that seals are available for the rear lights, my bus doesn't have these and my question is should I buy them or are they just nice to have?

One other thing, one of my side mirrors fell off in my hand yesterday so I will be replacing these with a new pair, should there be a washer between the van and the mirrors arm? I've seen these for sale on JK but again I don't have any.

    Cheers John

yes there should be a plastic type washer / seal and the seals keep water out of the battery trays a bit and every bit helps

  3. Thanks, I'll add them to my shopping cart :)

  4. There should be a strip seal that seals the rear light lens to the body work. Got mine from JK, I think. The light units should also have a sealed backplate and grommet on the rear to stop them filling up with rain from the air vents.

  5. Thanks, theres no water in there at the moment but better safe than sorry.
