  1. Crook in a stolen car with false plates ran into the back of the van this afternoon . Luckily damage largely limited to the bumper. Anyone near Ipswich got one for sale?

  2. Can't you get most of it out using the ol panel hammers and dolly?

  3. dont they cost a wedge new mate ? i would be inclined to sort one i"d got (as i have my own) to cast it aside after being in "battle" ? well ,not the camper way really, you owe it more , you do!.

  4. Not sure if it will dress out - will have a go though. What do you think?

  5. Don't waste ya money

Take the bumper of turn it upside down dent to floor
Take two clamps g clamps are fine wind them in either side of bumper as much as you can I'd put two pieces of metal bridging the clamps together to avoid further denting

Take a toe dolly or if you haven't got any make sure it's on a hard strong surface as you are tapping the main dent out wind the clamps in until they are back in line with the bumper
Use your panel hammer an dolly to tap out any remaining dent if it is not perfect then just run a skim of filler on it then get it painted
Just wish you was close to me I'd have done it for you
    I'm in doncaster
    Any questions fire away
    Thanks james

  7. 45 mins with a couple of G clamps, two builders trestles, an assortment of heavy duty RHS and angle and a lump hammer and it now looks like this:

It's certainly not perfect, but it's one hell of a lot more presentable than it was and will do until I stubble across a straight one.

    Thanks for all the input.
